Lane County residents have new options for recycling materials that don’t belong in curbside recycling bins with the opening of four RecycleOn Centers at the Cottage Grove, Glenwood, Florence, and Veneta transfer stations, the county said.

To mark the expansion, Lane County hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Glenwood Transfer Station The event will highlight the partnership between Lane County and Circular Action Alliance and the new recycling opportunities available to residents.

The new centers provide free drop-off recycling for materials that require separate collection, including plastic bags and film, shredded paper, aluminum foil, plastic lids, and other specialty materials. The openings build on Lane County’s existing transfer station network and represent another step in the County’s ongoing work to make recycling more accessible to residents throughout the region.
