The Tennessee Recycling Coalition announces the Annual Women’s Environmental Leadership Summit Nov. 9-10, 2026, at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge. All women in the recycling industry, sustainability programs, health and environmental protection sector, or who are interested in becoming a leader in community recycling, are encouraged to attend.
“The Women’s Environmental Leadership Summit is a unique opportunity to bring women from across Tennessee and other states together to connect, learn, share ideas, and inspire one another,” said Amber Greene, executive director of the Tennessee Recycling Coalition. “This event is about celebrating the women who are leading change in the environmental field, while creating new opportunities for professional growth, collaboration, and leadership.”
The event features two days focused on learning, leadership, professional development, networking, and inspiration. The first day will highlight dynamic speakers, interactive and educational sessions, and networking with women from across Tennessee and beyond who are making an impact in the environmental field.
During the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a guided tour of the Y-12 National Security Complex. Y-12 is a premier manufacturing facility that plays a vital role in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Nuclear Security Enterprise. A special tour of the historic Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary is also on the itinerary.
