The annual Tennessee Sustainability Conference is scheduled to take place Aug. 19-21 at the Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg, TN. The conference is a partnership between Tennessee Recycling Coalition, Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Tennessee Environmental Conference, and brings together environmental professionals from across the region.
The upcoming three-day event offers attendees learning opportunities on the latest trends and best practices in environmental sustainability. “Our industry is evolving rapidly, and staying informed on emerging trends, innovative practices, and industry advancements is essential to continued growth and success,” Executive Director Amber Greene, Tennessee Recycling Coalition, said. “Environmental leaders across the state are encouraged to join from August 19-21 at the Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg.”
Top environmentalists will offer a range of sessions, panel discussions, workshops and training classes. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about new technologies, regulations, environmental safety, and case studies impacting the way natural resources are managed. Peer to peer networking, as well as conducting business in the popular exhibitor area, are highlights of the gathering. Most importantly, key sessions will explore solutions and best practices for managing environmental sustainability.
TheTennessee Recycling Coalition Awards presentation is a highlight of the conference, including awards presented to “Business Recycler of the Year,” “Government Recycler of the Year,” “TN Top Recycler,” and “Non-Profit Recycler of the Year.” The 2026 awards are now open for nominations. Additionally, Tennessee mayors will gather for the 6th annual Mayor’s Retreat Aug. 20, to gain resources, share in conversation, and collaborate for solutions. The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation will provide information and updates on various programs, including Brownfield Grants, the 2035 Solid 91TV Plan, and more.
