American Biogas Council (ABC) announced that its annual BUSINESS OF BIOGAS conference, held October 20–22, drew the highest attendance in the event’s history, bringing together executives, investors, and industry leaders to explore emerging markets, investment opportunities, and strategies to advance the U.S. biogas industry. The record turnout reflects the expanding business opportunities across the industry.

Biogas is an energy source produced as organic material like manure, food waste, and wastewater solids breaks down. It can be used to heat homes, generate electricity, and fuel vehicles. The process also produces nutrient-rich organic fertilizer that offers an alternative to synthetic fertilizers.

BUSINESS OF BIOGAS featured sessions on emerging markets for biogas, including energy demand from data centers, maritime fuels, and international biomethane opportunities. Attendees also explored biogas project investment and financing, strategies for managing operating costs and cash flow, and the impact of federal and state policy on industry growth.

“BUSINESS OF BIOGAS brings together the people and organizations driving the growth of the U.S. biogas industry,” said ABC Executive Director Patrick Serfass. “With rising demand for reliable energy, new markets emerging for biogas, and growing opportunities to turn organic material into valuable energy and fertilizer, our industry is well positioned for growth. The conversations and connections made here help turn that potential into real projects, investment, and economic opportunity across the country.”

BUSINESS OF BIOGAS is the signature executive conference hosted by the American Biogas Council, bringing together top professionals, investors, and industry leaders to connect, collaborate, and explore the strategies and opportunities driving the growth of the U.S. biogas industry.
