The Florida Recycling Partnership Foundation (FRPF) announces that applications for the 2026 Florida Recycling Champion Awards are open. The awards program recognizes Florida businesses, local governments, nonprofit organizations, schools, and community partners that have demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovation in recycling, waste reduction, and sustainability.

Since its inception in 2020, the Recycling Champion Awards have celebrated the outstanding achievements of more than 35 Florida corporations, local governments, and nonprofit organizations that have made a measurable impact on recycling and environmental stewardship across the state.

“The Recycling Champion Awards highlight the organizations that are making a real difference in protecting Florida’s natural resources through innovative recycling and sustainability initiatives,” said Donn Githens, President/CEO of Goodwill Manasota and Chair of the Florida Recycling Partnership Foundation. “We encourage organizations of all sizes to share their success stories and inspire others to strengthen recycling efforts in their communities.”

Award recipients will be recognized during Florida Recycles Day, scheduled for November 18 at the University of Florida TREEO Center, where leaders from across the state gather to celebrate excellence in recycling, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.

The Florida Recycling Partnership Foundation encourages organizations that have implemented successful recycling programs, innovative waste reduction initiatives, or sustainability projects to apply and showcase their accomplishments.
