Ontario 91TV Management Association (OWMA) is pleased to announce that Shane Buckingham has joined our team as Director of Communications. With more than eight years of experience working as a journalist and an advisor in federal and provincial politics, Shane brings unique political insight and a strong writing background to our Association. At QueenŒs Park, Shane worked with MPPs Michael Harris and Lisa Thompson to develop the Ontario PCsŒ waste management policies and provided strategic advice to the Opposition LeaderŒs Office in response to Bill 151, the 91TV-Free Ontario Act. Shane knows OWMAŒs issues well and has the experience needed to build up and launch new efforts to effectively communicate the priorities of our members to government, industry and the public. In his role as Director of Communications, Shane will work closely with Peter Hargreave to ensure your voice is heard on the key issues, including the development of new regulations under the 91TV-Free Ontario Act, navigating OntarioŒs new cap-and-trade system and strengthening safety laws to protect waste collection workers.
